I’m raising a glass to today.

Today really isn’t too terribly important. I’m not making any grand announcements or celebrating events, it’s just me, giving cheers to life. I have a feeling in my body that is akin to how I felt before I jumped out of plane: terror, excitement, and my favorite, “AHHHHH” (because there are no words to describe it).  We (both M and I) are taking leaps but before we do, I’m taking a moment to sit back and let everything sink in.  I am taking extra long walks in the brisk fall morning or relaxing outside in the hammock until the warmth of the noon sun.

Big changes are coming and I only wish I could tell you about them (of course, that would mean I would know all the facts- which isn’t the case).  The new site-lift is just the beginning.  For now, have a drink with me?

I’m not really a cocktail drinker. I love my wines, craft beers, and the occasional glass of good scotch on the rocks. I’ve had a bottle of gin sitting in my house for awhile now, so I figured it was time to use it.

This drink is a result of two things:  a bunch of pears and apples in my refrigerator and a juicer that rarely is used. My train of thought: I could have fresh juice and even better, I could add booze! The rosemary is optional but adds an extra touch of fall flavor to the drink.

So I’m raising my glass: here’s to big things!  Cheers!

Cheers to life… love that line. It’s great to take a step back and celebrate for the sake of just celebrating. I’m not one to drink gin, but paired with fresh fruit, I’d give it another try.
