Chocolate Bundt Cake with Salted Caramel

I used Heidi's Chocolate Bundt Cake, Elise's Caramel Recipe, and finished the cake with a heavy hand of fleur de sel.

  1. There's nothing quite like a good chocolate bundt. So simple and pretty. And I love the idea of topping it with caramel. Lovely!

  2. that is one beautiful bundt cake. What a great idea to add caramel sauce. I think I might try that too only make it vegan (or try to). Wish me luck!

  3. Yes. Please. And if that wood background is actually a wall in your house/apt/condo, I am insanely jealous. 🙂

  4. Uh, yum!! I just got a new bundt pan, and can't wait to use it to make this lovely cake!

  5. So beautiful, Erin! Fitting treat for the momma that you raised you right. Such gorgeous light in these photos too.

  6. I'm confused- this cake looks like it has the chocolate glaze that Heidi's recipe used, I don't see a caramel glaze?

  7. I made this cake for St. Patty's day. It had beer in it, so I figured it was a match. My 17 year old niece's eyes rolled in the back of her head. If it is good enough to impress a teenager, you know you got a winner on your hands. The adults eyes rolled too. This is the kind of cake you wrap in big chunks and hide throughout the kitchen.

This is a beautifully photographed website. I want to make everything you share.

  8. This looks so simple and delicious! I wonder if you have ever tried cajeta? It usually comes in a glass jar in the Latin/Hispanic aisle. It is caramelized milk, and it is delicious! It is sort of like a soft toffee. It is ready to eat out of the jar. Warning-it is addictive!
