Processed foods often invade our kitchens. However, so many things we buy and consume can easily be made at home. While I've started a few, I've got a great list going of DIY kitchen staples to get your inspired!
Last summer I feel in love with canning. Preserving fresh fruits and vegetables for the winter or just preserving items in large batches makes for a wonderful way to take one more step away from processed foods.

A large part of why Naturally Ella has become a great location for whole-foods recipes is due to my love of CSA's and farmers' markets. Both are great ways to check out to eat fresh and support local farmers.
