Pizza. The Food Matters Project tackled the dough but there were some seriously great topping combinations out there which made me realize, it is time to spotlight pizza. Not only am I including some pizzas from the project, I also dug in to the archives of some of my favorite bloggers to bring you inspirational pizza toppings.
I mean, you can never have too many pizza choices (and if you don’t live near a great pizza place, like me, you can learn to make a great pizza at home!)
So, here we go (and yes, I want to try each and every one of them!)
Endive and Gruyere Flatbread from Sarah of The Yellow House
Pesto Pizza with Fresh Arugula and Parmesan from Kathryne of Cookie and Kate
Black Trumpet, Leek, and Meyer Lemon Pizzettes from Kasey of Turntable Kitchen
Brussel Sprout and Red Onion Pizza from Jeanine of Love and Lemons
Blackberry Fennel Pizza from Tina of Scaling Back
Sweet Potato Breakfast Pizza from Lauren of Healthy Food For Living
Cajun Pizza from Sonja and Alex of A Couple Cooks
Broccoli, Mustard, and Mushroom Pizza from Jacqui of Good Things Grow
Peach, Basil, and Escarole Pizza from Jeannette of Everybody like Sandwiches (via poppytalk)
Green Goddess Pizza from Laura of The First Mess
Sweet Potato Kale Pizza from Maria of Two Peas & Their Pod
Not sure traditional pizza is what you are after?
Butternut Squash and Apple Calzones from Kelsey of Happyolks
Cauliflower Crust Pizza with Fried Eggs from Jeanine of Love and Lemons
Gluten free pizza crust from Shauna of Gluten-Free Girl
Spinach Calzone with Ricotta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes from Katie of Good Life Eats
I’ve also been known to have my fair share of pizza on the blog as well:
Sun-dried Tomato and Walnut Pesto Breakfast Pizza
Purple People Eater Pizza (eggplant and purple basil pesto)
Shaved Asparagus and Gorgonzola Pizza
Got a favorite topping? I’d love to hear!
