I couldn’t think of an intro so here it goes:

M moved out.  The decision was truly mutual.  We both had this sinking feeling that neither of us were happy with where we were in our relationship.  After 3 ½ years of trying to make it work, it just wasn’t there.

I’m so grateful for the time we had together.  He helped me build this blog into something I love and drove me to be a better photographer.  We got each other back into school and because of his pushing; I found a job I love.  However, when it comes down to it, we make much better friends.

That being said, I’m taking a break for a bit to try and get my life back in order.  While I’m not nose diving into Ben and Jerry’s and watching hours upon hours of sappy romance movies, I need time to get back into a routine of being me.

I have to say that I’m slightly excited at the prospect of focusing on myself (especially when it comes to cooking/eating.)

So, please bear with me and I will be back in a short time…

Peace, love, and cheesecake:

Erin

Take as much time as you need. It’s important to focus on yourself at a time like this. There’s a lot more things to do and see in the world so just do what you enjoy, and if things are meant to be, you’ll be with the right person later on.

I’m sorry to hear about your breakup, Erin. I broke up with my boyfriend of three years this spring. It needed to happen. My recovery phase included a seriously intense week-long cleaning spree, long talks with good friends, lots of wine, and a blogging break.

Truly, single life isn’t bad. You can do whatever you want! Go do it!

I so appreciate your blog and recipes! Saying that, take some time for yourself. I’ve recently gone through something similar, after many years of marriage, and predict that there’s a time of renewed energy and revitalization ahead for you! Many blessings!
