Because of vacation, I missed two week at the CSA so I was super excited to get back to picking (plus my refrigerator looked bare, so I needed some produce!)  I decided that today I would head out the csa and then swing by the farmer’s market just to see if there was anything else I really wanted this week.

The CSA had tons of great stuff this week, I skipped taking photos this week seeing as the temperature was already 80˚ by 8 a.m. with humidity up the wazoo.  (Have I mentioned how sad I was to leave 60˚ with no humidity weather in Colorado?)

More Blueberries

Another crop of rhubarb

Patty Pan Squash (I also got some summer squash and zucchini)

Hot peppers (and some regular green peppers)

tomatoes

Broccoli

and green beans!

As for the farmer’s market, it wouldn’t be Illinois without sweet corn:

Cauliflower

Red Onions

Other items squeezed into my refrigerator this week that aren’t pictures: purple basil, egg plant, green cabbage, red cabbage, and some swiss chard.  I guess I better do a lot of cooking this week- I have tons of great produce!
