Chocolate Hazelnut Tart

I have tried to type many descriptions for this tart and how it makes me feel when really, there are probably no words needed.  I mean how does one describe chocolate, hazelnuts, and heavy cream combined into a tart?

Scrumptious?

maybe soul satisfying?

Or maybe I should just stick with my favorite: mmmmmmm…

(see, still no words needed.)

Need I say more?

Chocolate Hazelnut Tart

Details
Ingredients

    Crust

    • 1 1/4 cups Hazelnut Flour
    • 4 tablespoons butter
    • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
    • pinch cinnamon

    Filling

    • 18 ounces dark chocolate chopped
    • 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla
    Directions
    • Pre-heat oven to 350˚ and grab an 11" removable bottom tart pan.
    • Combine all ingredients in the food processor except for cream.  Pulse until butter is in small pieces.  Add enough cream for dough to pull together into a ball.  Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 20 minutes.
    • Once dough has sat, remove from refrigerator, and roll dough out between two pieces of parchment paper.  Place into pan, pat edges down, and poke holes in the bottom of the crust with a fork.  Bake for 20 minutes until crust is golden brown.  Remove from oven and set aside.
    • Once the crust is done, place chocolate in a medium bowl.  Heat heavy cream in a sauce pan until boils.  Once cream boils, pass through a sieve (if you want smooth chocolate), and stir into chocolate.  Keep stir until chocolate is smooth.  (if for some reason your chocolate doesn't melt before your cream cools, place mixture in a double broiler and heat until remaining chocolate melts.)
    • Stir in vanilla and pour into prepared crust.  Let sit until set- about three hours at room temperature or a little over an hour if you stick in the refrigerator.  Sprinkle with more hazelnuts if desired.
    • If serving from the refrigerator, pull tart out of the cold 45 minutes to one hour before serving.

Your tart made me get in an argument with my coworker because she doesn’t like hazelnuts. I love them, and your tart looks beautiful!
