Valentine's day hearts, part II

A little while back I promised more easy chocolate ideas for Valentine’s day.  Well, here is the second installment.

I melted white chocolate, added color, and drew free form hearts-easy as that!  The end product were these cute edible cupcake toppers.  Grab your favorite cupcake recipe and have at it!  The chocolate only takes about an hour to set and you are on your way- try different colors and shapes for a little variety- the possibilities are endless.

Instructions:

Take about a cup of white chocolate chips and melt in either a double boiler or the microwave.  To microwave, set the power at 70% and heat for about one minute.  The only real thing to worry about burning the chocolate.  Place chocolate in a plastic baggie and cut off the tip (however big or small, depends on the size of your hearts.) On parchment paper, draw the hearts and fill in with a little chocolate, smoothing with a knife.  Let sit until hard.
